Móberg buys Sport.is

Móberg ehf, which runs Bland.is, 433.is, and other websites, has bought sport.is

The company Móberg ehf has bought the sports website Sport.is. Skorri Rafn Rafnsson, CEO of Móberg ehf, says the purchase went through quickly as Sport.is fits well into the company’s operations. The idea is not to change the site except to improve it.

“We are happy to have a website as powerful as Sport.is in our care, but the strategy is to strengthen the business shortly without changing the current focus of the website. The changes that will be visible shortly will mainly be in the form of increased news reporting, but there are no plans to change the appearance or content shortly,” says Skorri Rafn in an announcement.

Móberg ehf operates many of the country’s most popular websites, including Bland.is, 433.is, Hun.is, Hann.is and Barnaland.is. Sport.is has now joined the diverse website flora.
