Móberg, now Alva Capital
Þórir Örn appointed Móberg’s chief legal officer.
Þórir Örn Árnason has been hired as Móberg’s chief legal officer and compliance officer.
The announcement states that his appointment is part of the company’s new structure and to support the company’s growth as the most significant financial technology company in the country.
“Þórir has a long experience in the financial sector. For the past 11 years, he has been in charge of Íslandsbanki’s legal collection, overseeing and dealing with all the bank’s collection matters. The work also included pleading, writing briefs, general lawyering, and supervising the bank’s other lawyers.
Þórir, who completed his law degree from the University of Iceland in 1995, brings extensive experience to Móberg ehf and its subsidiaries, where his experience and knowledge will be put to good use. This applies not least to the creation and development of software for lawyers related to project and document systems and invoicing systems, which Vergo designs. It’s safe to say that Þóris’s appointment will weigh heavily in the exciting projects ahead.
Þórir has already started working at Móberg ehf, a leader in the development of modern financial technology solutions. Móberg is the owner of several companies, including Netgíró, Aktiva peer loan, and Vergo,” says the announcement.
