Skífan buys Heimkaup.

Skífan ehf. has bought the operation of Heimkaup.is, but Heimkaup.is operates, among other things, an online store of the same name. Skífan operates two stores under the name Skífan/Gamestöðin, in Kringlunn and Smáralind.

Ágúst Guðbjartsson, Skífun’s manager, says this is a step in the right direction.”The future of entertainment sales is here. Sales are increasingly being made online, and our customers want to be able to buy their products in the comfort of their own homes, as well as Heimkaup.is fits right into our vision.”

According to Ágústs, Skífan’s most prominent owner is the Móberg company, but Fjölvar Darra Rafnsson and Skorra Rafn Rafnsson mostly own it. Móberg also owns the websites Bland.is, Sport.is, 433.is, Hun.is and Hann.is. Skorri Rafn is the CEO of Móberg.
